About Me!

My name is Rachel and I've been traveling since I was a young girl. I started with a family trip to Norway to visit my relatives, then studied abroad in Iceland when I was in University. After graduating, I decided to move to South Korea to teach English. After realizing I loved being in new places, I made the goal to live and work on all 7 continents before I turned 40!

After two years in South Korea teaching English, I moved to Chile to teach English at the University of Talca. After a student strike ended my contract, I headed to England to get my MA degree at the University of Bristol, where I also worked in hospitality. I then headed to Australia to work in hospitality, which was followed by a year in Hong Kong teaching, a year in New Zealand working in hospitality, a season in Antarctica at McMurdo Station in the galley and finally, to complete my goal, a season as a safari host in Zambia, which ended 4 days before my 40th birthday!

Of course, during this time, I spent all my free time traveling to as many new places as I could! I have traveled extensively as a solo traveler, with groups, as a backpacker, on luxury tours, on cruises, trains, planes, bikes, active adventures, relaxing beach holidays and found breweries, amazing restaurants, wineries, national parks, fabulous places to see and tons of fun things to do.
